Comedy Picks Is your seasonal affective disorder getting you down?
Here are some comedies to watch this winter that should
help brighten your mood:

Episodes
I am not yet 100% sold on this Curb Your Enthusiasm meets The Comeback
comedy series. But, it’s a far step up from Joey for Matt Le Blanc.
Parks and Rec
I will continue to sing the praises of this show until
it is in SideReel’s Top 10. Best comedy on NBC right now.
Archer
This FX comedy is all kinds of inappropriate, hence,
it’s exactly my style.
Mr. Sunshine (2/9)
This new comedy has a great cast - Friends alum Matthew Perry, Allison Janney and Andrea
Anders from the canceled too soon Better Off Ted. Let’s hope they can deliver the laughs.
Mad Love (2/14)
Yet another comedy about young white people finding
love (don’t forget about Perfect Couples and Traffic Light). This one, however, stars Scrubs alum Sarah Chalke.

Drama Picks There are plenty of hot dramas this winter to keep
us warm and fully entertained! Of the midseason newbies,
here are a few of the standouts:
More Drama »

Shameless
The best of the new midseason dramas packed with character,
quality drama and humor plus plenty of heart. An instant
favorite this season.
Off the Map
Hot doctors and creative jungle medicine? How could
a Grey’s Anatomy fan say no?
The Chicago Code
Having grown up in the Chicago area, I can’t help but look forward to this new cop drama that
looks like it will definitely have its own unique flavor.
Fairly Legal
As one canceled-too-soon Life’s biggest fans, I’m loving seeing Life star Sarah Shahi in this quirky
new legal drama from USA which always delivers the
best characters!
Lights Out
This newbie sits atop my catch-up list. I was hesitant due to the boxing theme, but
it sounds like it’s packed with excellent human drama - for which FX has a fantastic track record.

Reality Picks If you’re a reality addict like me (or just looking for more "real" drama to devour), see which winter reality TV shows I can’t get enough of this month:
More Reality »
The Bachelor
It’s Brad Womak’s 2nd chance at love, and his lady suitors are more desperate
than ever!
American Idol
Still not sure how I feel about the new judges, but
they’ve been showing less reject auditions this season.
The talent bar has been set high!
Jersey Shore
The gang is back in Jersey and luckily for us fans,
they’re not any more well-behaved since their return to Seaside!
Top Chef
Now that the fat has been trimmed (aka Marcel), it's a diehard race to the finish for the remaining
All-Stars!
The Bad Girls Club
Seven trashy girls forced to live together, pick fights,
and drink nonstop. How can a reality TV addict go wrong?

Web TV Picks
"Web series" isn’t synonymous with just comedy anymore: great documentaries, dramas, and horror shows are
popping up in 2011:

League of Two
Looking forward to more of this documentary series
which explores the best duos in art, music, design,
and more!
Solo
New episodes seem to be on the way. It’s "2001" meets "The Truman Show" - hilarious stuff.
About Abby
Ready to see what this new romantic comedy series can
offer. From the trailer, it looks to be very different.
Yeah.
Genuine Ken
It’s a guilty reality show pleasure, but I love people
humiliating themselves in any form of media.
MAB
Can’t wait to see how this psychological horror/thriller ends up. Stuff’s getting pretty freaky!
